Wonderstone

We have two types of  Pyrophyllite – African Black Wonderstone and Indian Red Wonderstone.

Wonderstone is the brand name for this pyrophyllite stone which is mined and milled in various places around the world – with South Africa and India being the locations where we source our stone.

If you are looking for a natural stone that is fracture-less, polishes to dark black, harder than soapstone and comes in various block sizes, African Wonderstone is the stone for you.

The Indian red wonderstone is a little harder and actually feels to the touch like soapstone and has beautiful red and lime-green patterns in the stone.
